When booking Club Air, you have two options: dry hire or wet hire. Both include full setup and pack down, but the key difference is what happens during your event. Here's everything you need to know to make the right choice.
Dry hire means we set up, hand over to you, then return for pack down.
Full delivery and setup
Complete safety briefing with two responsible adults
Emergency deflation demonstration
Weather monitoring instructions
All equipment (nightclub, lights, sound, smoke machine)
Pack down after your event
During dry hire, you become the operator. This means you're responsible for:
Safety Monitoring:
Supervising all guests using the nightclub
Enforcing capacity limits (14 kids unsupervised, 20 with active adult supervision)
Ensuring no intoxicated guests enter the nightclub
Monitoring for unsafe behavior
Weather Monitoring:
Checking wind speeds during your event
Watching for rain or storm conditions
Deflating immediately if conditions become unsafe
Following the emergency procedures we demonstrate
Equipment Care:
Ensuring the nightclub stays properly inflated
Keeping the area clear of hazards
Reporting any issues immediately
Dry hire works best if you:
Want full control over your event
Have responsible adults available to supervise
Feel comfortable monitoring weather and equipment
Prefer a lower-cost option
Are having a daytime event with predictable weather
Not recommended for:
Events where adults will be drinking heavily
Situations where no one wants supervision responsibility
High-risk weather forecasts
Late-night events where monitoring is difficult
Wet hire means our crew stays on-site throughout your entire event.
Everything from dry hire, PLUS:
Club Air crew member on-site for the duration
Professional weather monitoring
Equipment monitoring and troubleshooting
Safety enforcement (capacity, intoxication policy, behavior)
Immediate response to any issues
Safety Management:
Monitoring all guests entering the nightclub
Enforcing capacity limits
Refusing entry to intoxicated guests
Managing unsafe behavior
Emergency response if needed
Weather Monitoring:
Continuous wind speed checks
Watching for rain/storm conditions
Making the call to deflate if conditions change
Handling emergency deflation procedures
Equipment Management:
Ensuring proper inflation throughout
Troubleshooting any technical issues
Adjusting settings as needed
Keeping everything running smoothly
Honestly? Enjoy your event. We've got the rest covered.
You still need to:
Ensure guests follow our rules
Support our crew if they need to enforce policies
Provide reasonable access to power and the setup area
Wet hire is ideal if you:
Want to fully enjoy your event without responsibility
Are serving alcohol to adults
Have unpredictable weather forecasts
Want professional oversight throughout
Are hosting a large event
Prefer peace of mind over cost savings
Particularly recommended for:
18th/21st birthday parties
Adult celebrations with alcohol
Evening/overnight events
Events during storm season
High-capacity gatherings
Dry Hire:
Standard pricing applies
You handle supervision during the event
Wet Hire:
FREE crew member included!
We stay on-site at no additional cost
Subject to crew availability
That's right - we don't charge extra for wet hire. It's about giving you options, not upselling.
Regardless of which option you choose, we conduct a comprehensive safety briefing before we leave:
Site assessment and risk identification
Weather conditions review
Equipment inspection walkthrough
Emergency deflation demonstration
Emergency exit procedures
Capacity guidelines
Intoxication policy confirmation
Contact information and emergency procedures
